Shrimp Festival

A great tradition for the island, this festival, sponsored by the Lions Club, has multiple events, with the primary weekend of events scheduled for March 13 & 14, including a parade on Saturday, March 13, 21010.  Both Saturday and Sunday features the Famous Lion Shrimp Dinners and Crafts Expo on the beach at the City Pier.  The first Festival was held in 1959 and continues today to raise money for charitable endeavors.

Fire Works and Parades make a fun week at the Beach!


Fire works are launched from the City Pier at Times Square.  Watching from a boat is a wonderful way to see the show, or simply throw down the blanket and relax on the beach. 


A day time parade will Charm your Flip flops off!


In July, usually the second weekend of the month, this fun festival offers an entertaining excuse to visit Pine Island.  Music, parade, vendor booths, kids activities and treats made with this delicious tropical fruit. ... come celebrate the Mango fruit on Pine Island.

Fort Myers Beach Pirate Festival

The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce presents the 5th annual Pirate Festival.  Entertainment for the whole family including a Treasure Hunt, Ship to Shore Black powder cannon and small arms fire, Pirate actors, storytellers and musicians gather for a fun weekend festival!






Kayak Paddling Festival

October 29 - November 7, 2010

The 5th annual "signature eco-event" celebrates Southwest Florida's 190 mile marked paddling trail, The Great Calusa Blueway, which meanders from its southern tip at Bonita Springs to its northern-most points around Pine Island Sound and up the Caloosahatchee River.

Paddlers, competitors, families and outdoor enthusiasts from around Southwest Florida, the state and the nation attend this one-of-a-kind eco-event.

Festivities include competitive canoe/kayak races, a kayak fishing tournament, paddling clinics and demonstrations, seminars, family activities, archaeological and environmental events, guided tours, and more.

The American Sand Sculpting Championship and Beach Festival!

 

One of the most popular events in Florida, attracting over 100,000 attendees, it is a perfect festival for the whole family.  Professional and Amateur sculptors compete producing amazingly large and remarkable things working only with sand, water and great creativity!  This year’s event dates are November 10-14, 2010.  For more information:
